Historical typographic posters,

This project focuses on two historical typographic posters based on the iconic typefaces Helvetica and Futura, referencing the work of Josef Müller-Brockmann and Erik Spiekermann. Each poster was built around a pangram to highlight the structure and tone of the type.

The Helvetica poster reflects Swiss Style design — clean grid alignment, minimal use of colour, and a strong sense of order. For Futura, I explored Spiekermann’s more expressive and modernist approach, keeping the layout structured yet dynamic.

I designed both posters in Illustrator, experimenting with spacing, hierarchy, and rhythm while keeping the letterforms untouched. This task helped me explore the voice of each typeface and how layout can communicate design history.
