Kurt Cobain, Montage of Heck
This album cover design was developed during my studies at RMIT as part of a creative reinterpretation task. Drawing inspiration from Kurt Cobain’s Montage of Heck, the project explores how raw emotion and nostalgic references can be translated into a contemporary visual language.
The process started with hand-drawn sketches in a notebook, which were scanned and vectorised in Adobe Illustrator. I then refined the composition and added final textures and tonal adjustments in Photoshop, giving it a layered, expressive feel.
This project reflects my interest in blending analogue and digital techniques while paying tribute to cultural icons through a personal, stylised approach.
It showcases my skills in:
• Visual storytelling and concept development
• Vector illustration and hand-drawn integration
• Layout refinement and image treatment
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop workflows
This isn’t just a parody or homage — it’s a reinterpretation with a clear creative voice and intent.
